When feeding any formula to your cat, it’s important to be familiar with the ingredients and Taste of the Wild seems to use very high-quality ingredients. I upgraded my cats food from “Chicken Soup For The Cat Lovers Soul” brand cat food to Taste of The Wild when I ran out, and the usual pet store I shop at was closed and I needed more food. I would prefer to feed them TOTW but CSFTCLS is $11 cheaper a month. I changed my cats over to TOTW a little over 2 yrs ago.

While they did not seem to like it as much as my dog , they seemed to really enjoy it. She turns her nose up at most foods that other kitties would go wild for. That being said, she LOVED Taste of the Wild Beef dry food.

My husband began feeding our cats TOTW, I objected but gave in…I wish I hadn’t. I have been fighting his weight lose since the holidays…about 3 wks ago he almost died. Hospital performed 2 blood transfufions, a biopsy revealed he had a severe bacterial infection, Clostridium perfringens. He’s off of the antibiotics & surculfate, still on vitamins & 2 stomach meds. He’s slowly on the mend…now our other indoor cat is showing symptoms….I’m getting rid of TOTW!! I have had the same problem with my cats this past week with my new bag of food!

Taste of the Wild manufactures a range of food called Prey. This is a limited ingredient range, and each formula contains no more than four primary ingredients. The first ingredient is the meat source, either Angus beef or turkey. The other main ingredients are lentils and sunflower oil. This range also has fewer carbohydrates than the other ranges.

I was kind of skeptical about it since it has peas and sweet potatoes in it. I wasn’t sure if my cat would like the that aspect of the food but she LOVES this stuff! This is the most excited I’ve seen her for breakfast time. I am woken up bright and early by a cat in my face trying to get my attention so I can feed her. Not only does my cat love this food but I think it is improving her health.
